The organizers of ABWO (Airborne Battle Wheels) were the first to receive the “Waardering Airborne Gedachtegoed”
This Appreciation is for people who make a contribution to maintaining the history related to the Battle of Arnhem.
Especially for this occasion, Mayor Schaap of the Municipality of Renkum was picked up in a jeep and driven to the camp on the grounds of Pluryn on the outskirts of Oosterbeek.
After a short speech, all members of the organization received a personalised medal. The “Waardering Airborne Gedachtengoed”.
